Does the sauna tent get as hot as a regular sauna?

Yes, it can. When properly heated, the tent can reach temperatures above 100°C. We recommend 80-85°C for the most comfortable sauna experience.

What are the benefits of a sauna tent?

No building permit, set up in 5 minutes, 80-100°C like a traditional sauna, can be taken anywhere, used all year round. Danish support and spare parts in stock.

How quickly can I set up the sauna tent?

With the pop-up construction, it takes less than five minutes to erect the tent. All in all, your sauna is ready in about 5 minutes.

Does a sauna tent require a building permit in Denmark?

No, the tent is not considered a permanent structure and therefore does not require a building permit.

Can a sauna tent be used all year round in Denmark?

Yes, the sauna tent can be used all year round. With permanent outdoor setup it's important to use weather protection against UV and rain, brush off snow at more than 10-15 cm on the roof, and take the tent down in storms. With all pegs and guy ropes it withstands wind up to 25 m/s. In periods when the sauna tent is not in use, we recommend packing it down. Note: Damage from lack of care with permanent setup is not covered by the statutory complaint rights.

Are sauna tents safe and heat resistant?

Features. Made with three layers of insulation, flame retardant and heat resistant materials, the fabric is both waterproof and fireproof.

Which sauna tent models does Smelt offer?

The mission of Smelt Sauna is to make saunas accessible to everyone—regardless of their life situation, financial circumstances, or where they live. Smelt was born out of my own personal journey. In the midst of a period marked by an ADHD diagnosis, postpartum depression, and major life changes, I found peace in the warmth of the sauna. It became my sanctuary, a place where I could breathe, feel myself, and regain my balance—both physically and mentally. I wanted to make that experience accessible to others. I believe that the sauna isn’t just a luxury, but a tool for well-being, mindfulness, and mental health. With Smelt, I want to inspire more people to create their own moments of calm—whether in the backyard, by the sea, or out in nature.
